A Michelin-starred New York chef is coming to Brickell Park
The restaurateur behind Rezdora is teaming with Allen Morris Companies on a new restaurant. Rezdora is a Michelin-starred spot in New York. The site is Allen Morris Brickell Park. Axios Miami reported August 11 that the approved permit covers a proposed 3,000-square-foot space. Total occupancy is capped at 132 people, employees included. Nothing is open yet, and Axios did not give a date. The site sits on one of the last green spaces left in Brickell. The project has drawn pushback from neighbors. Both things are true at once: a serious kitchen, and a piece of park.
Second Carrot Express headed to Brickell Plaza this fall
Carrot Express is planning a second Brickell location at 1057 Brickell Plaza. The target is fall 2026. What Now Miami reported the space runs 1,362 square feet with 52 seats. That is 32 indoors and 20 on an outdoor patio. The menu is expected to cover salads, grain bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. Smoothies, juices, and all-day breakfast are also planned. No exact opening date has been announced, so treat fall as a season, not a promise. This is a neighborhood that eats lunch at its desk. Another fast, green option within walking distance is not a small thing.
2200 Brickell starts moving people in
2200 Brickell has received a temporary certificate of occupancy. It is beginning to welcome residents. PROFILEmiami reported August 11 that the building was 85 percent sold. A final collection of homes has been released, including penthouses and private garden villas. Those figures come from the development team, not an independent appraisal. Read them as the developers' announced status. The partners are Aria Development Group, Largo, and Place Projects. Miami Spice at Truluck's runs through the end of September
Truluck's at 777 Brickell Avenue is doing Miami Spice through September 30. Weekday lunch is three courses for $40. Dinner is three courses for $65, offered nightly. There is also an optional four-course premium dinner at $95. Take that one if you want to go further. Reservations run through Truluck's directly or OpenTable.
